We know it’s not always easy to get kids to eat their fruit and veggies, and if you have a picky eater it can be even harder! We think food art is a great step to solve this pesky little problem. Not only does it encourage creativity amongst your kiddies but it gets them used to the texture and smell of new foods and builds excitement for them! This will hopefully lead to them gobbling pieces of their rainbows and caterpillars, no cajoling and bribing required!
What You Will Need
Assorted Chopped Fruit & Veggies
Crackers
Nuts & Dried Fruit
Cheese
Cocktail Sticks
Chopping Board & Knife
White Plates (To display their creations)
On your first attempt, we’d recommend a bit of freestyling! Let their imagination flow and see what they make, from suns to trees to rainbows! Simple is always best at first, the last thing you want is them getting discouraged and having another reason to take against Granny Smith. But when the time does, here are a few of our favourite more advanced pieces!
1) Under the Sea
2) Owl Eat That
3) Turkey Time!
4) Frozen Never Looked So Good
5) Caterpillar Canapes
Were hungry already! We really hope you try some of these fun ideas, and if you do, please do send us photos! Until next time!
