Virtual Events for Kids This Halloween

I think it’s safe to say now that it’s not going to be a normal Halloween this year. Now that the Government have come out against trick or treating due to Covid-19 restrictions and with the mid-term fast approaching, it’s time to start thinking about some fun – and safe – activities to keep the little ones occupied. Thankfully, old faithful, Epic Museum have launched a series of virtual family-friendly events that are perfect for Halloween! Samhain Halloween Festival 27-30 October Samhain celebrates Ireland’s ancient Halloween roots and storytelling tradition by bringing together modern Seanchaís, actors and performers to share spine-tingling Irish tales and authentic traditions. Families can immerse themselves in an Irish Halloween experience, with everything from creepy creative workshops, traditional Halloween games, and hijinks, and a whole host of characters from the Banshee, the Morrigán, some naughty fairies, and the Pooka. All workshops will be delivered via Zoom and streamed via Facebook Live, with limited tickets available for the interactive portion via Eventbrite. Virtually Trick or Treat Around the World 24, 25, 29, 30 October Trick or Treat around the globe and bring to life the celebrations of Halloween today with your creepy crafting creations. From Irish soul cakes to Mexican Sugar Skulls to the Chinese Hungry Ghost Festival, you’re sure to be in for a fright! A fun workshop for all the family, this is your opportunity to experience Halloween from its origins to the global festival it has become, picking up some new traditions along the way. To take part all you need are some colouring pencils, markers or crayons; sheets of A4 paper; a pair of scissors; and some sticky tape to take part. Trick or Treat – If You Dare!

October 31st This Halloween Midterm step inside the eerie vaults of EPIC if you dare! Come face to face with ghastly ghouls, wicked witches, and all of Halloween’s horrible creatures, while following the path, answering the questions, and surviving the terrifying challenges that await you, all in the hope of collecting your special spooky surprise. The creatures of the underworld have taken over EPIC’s vaults to celebrate the ancient festival of Samhain and they are looking forward to having some guests! But remember, you must complete their tasks or you might be joining them in the underworld forever! This is sounds incredible to us!
