Digestive biscuits, melted chocolate and toasted marshmallows – if that doesn’t get your taste buds going than I don’t know what will! We celebrate a lot of important days here in Ireland but here at Early Days, we feel like we’ve been neglecting one of the most important – August 10th, International S’Mores Day. Made popular by the Girls & Boys Scouts, the aptly named s’mores (because they’ll always leave you wanting some more) have transformed from the quintessential American treat to a campfire classic all across the world! S’mores Day was created several years ago and is sponsored by the National Confectioners Association and we feel there is no better way to celebrate than by whipping up this super easy and super tasty treat! Now, we’d always recommend enjoying a good s’more around a campfire while swapping ghoulish ghost stories but we understand that Ireland’s August weather might not be the ideal scenario for such a thing. Thankfully, s’mores taste just as good enjoyed in a living room or a class room! Check out the recipe below!
